Hoya carnosa is a vigorous evergreen vine with thick, leathery leaves that bears globular umbels of unusual, waxy, sweetly-scented flowers. The flowers unfold like little origami parcels, opening out into starry, five-petalled, porcelain-like white or pink blooms, intricately detailed with a tiny red eye.
