Apple ‘Winter Gem’

This late season variety consistently produces top quality eating apples, with a richly aromatic and complex flavour. The pale, yellow-green fruits of Apple ‘Winter Gem’ are flushed red, with crisp, juicy flesh. Being one of the last eating apples to ripen in late October, it makes a valuable and worthwhile addition to orchards. Surplus fruits can be stored well into March.

• MM106 – Semi dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 4m (13′)

This variety is not self-fertile. For the heaviest crops it is best grown with another variety. If you only have room for one tree then make sure that a neighbour has a tree close by that can act as a suitable pollinator. Pollination Group 3 – Eating Apple
